Summer Bucket List for Stay-At-Home Moms!

Welcome Summer!

The summer season has arrived! I am SO excited for this summer because we get to spend it together as a family being outdoors in the fresh air, gardening, adventuring, and enjoying new experiences. With 3 kiddos, the busyness of summer is going to take over our household fast. It’s no surprise that during these busiest seasons of life, we have to take extra care to enjoy this time, and our many accomplishments.

I know how easy it is to forget that sometimes, because I was recently so focused on finishing our second year of homeschooling that when we reached the finish line, I almost forgot to celebrate our achievement. After taking a moment to pause, I realized how important it was for me to celebrate this milestone for myself. Sure, I celebrate this for my kids, but I put a lot of work into their education too. So, I celebrated with another homeschooling mama friend! You can listen to our fun conversation and end-of-school reflection here.

MOM - Maker of Memories

As we transition into summertime and start planning out all the fun there is to have, I once again, find myself solely focused on my children’s happiness, joy, and memory making experiences.

This summer, I aim to change that. Sure, I'll still be focused on my kiddos and creating space and time for them to enjoy these fleeting moments of childhood, absolutely. However, in keeping with an intentional mindset and staying present, I decided to do something for myself as well. We hear all the time, “MOM” means “Maker of Memories”. But, what if we made our own memories? What if we created our OWN bucket lists for our summer experience. I mean, moms can have fun too, right?

Bucket List for Moms!

I’ve put together a list of some of my favorite ideas to use when it comes to doing just that.

Stick with me here, some of these ideas might be a little different than what you’re used to, but they will get you out of your comfort zone and truly find joy in these fleeting summer months. Let’s NOT get stuck on our phones and forget to nourish ourselves or enjoy the sunshine. Let’s DEFINITELY find play, peace, and pleasure in this space and time. Mamas, let's have some FUN!
